DESCRIPTION

Guideposts is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing hope, encouragement and inspiration to people from all walks of life through its broad reach of magazines, books, products, and outreach programs.

 

Guideposts has an experienced staff of in-house statisticians. This masterfile is used to create strong Response Models, Good Customer Match Models, and Mail Match Models.

 

Guideposts builds a model and creates an equation based on these names. Guideposts then provides mailer with a gains chart which is used as a forecast tool to select names. The gains chart will be segmented and an expected response will be provided for each segment.

 

Response Model (ie regression analysis):
Mailer mails a cross section of the Guideposts Corporate Masterfile which will generate a minimum of 1,000 paid responders. When the final results are complete, mailer sends total net names mailed file flagged with paid responders back to Guideposts.

 

Minimum quantity required 1,000 paid responders.
Quantity commitment requirement 50,000/year.
Turn around time for model build 8 weeks.
Turn around time to process orders 2 weeks.

 

Good Customer Match Model (ie profile analysis):
Mailer pulls a 100,000 name cross-section of their best customers and sends them to Guideposts. Guideposts matches the names to either their subscriber file, book buyer file or total masterfile (mailer decides which one) and creates the profile analysis equation. Guideposts supplies mailer with a summary and class ranking of the profile analysis.

Quantity commitment requirement 50,000/year.
Turn around time for model build 8 weeks.
Turn around time to process orders 2 weeks.

 

Mail Match Model:
Similar to the Response Model without the cross section mailing. Instead, the mailer sends a file of an entire mail campaign(s) flagged with responders and Guideposts builds a model on these names. A gains chart is provided to use as a forecast tool to select names.
