Subscribers to AIPB's free, twice-monthly "Bookkeeping Tips" e-letter include 18,000 active members of AIPB, the national association and certifying body for bookkeepers. In addition, there are 10,000 bookkeepers who have come to the AIPB website to download the 30-page booklet on certification. These people are working bookkeepers, of whom 750 have joined AIPB ($60 average order) and another 600 have purchased AIPB's self-study courses ($40 average order).
Subscribers work primarily in companies with under 100 employees with 13% in 100+ employee firms. The e-letter is a hard-nosed briefing on key accounting and tax developments, such as changes in overtime pay as the result of the new tax law, how to avoid state sales-and-use-tax audit, how to prove an expense to the IRS when canceled checks are lost and how to make adjustments to the Retained Earnings Account, etc.
